Creator guidelines
How to post about Fragnatium as a member of the creator program: how to disclose, what to call the product, and what your link and code are for. These guidelines are part of the program terms. The legal points are a plain-language summary, not legal advice.
The short version
- Disclose every post. Use your platform’s paid-partnership label and put “Ad” (in Slovenian, “Oglas”) at the start of the caption or on screen.
- Call it a decant. Not a sample, a tester, a mini or “the original”.
- Show the label. Each vial carries the batch code of the bottle it was poured from. That close-up is the best shot you have.
- Say what you really think. An honest “not for me” is fine.
- No health claims, and don’t speak for the fragrance houses.
- Your link and code are for your audience. No coupon or deal sites, no ads on our name, no orders through your own link or with your own code.
- Your code’s discount comes out of your share. You choose it, and you state it as it is: the real percent, one order per customer, not on sets people build themselves.
- We may reshare your posts on our own channels, with credit.
1. Disclosure
Why it is not optional
When you post about Fragnatium with a link or code that earns you a share, the post is advertising, even if every word is your own opinion. Gifted decants count as payment too. The law is about the reader: they must be able to tell that a post is an ad before they tap, read on or watch to the end.
- EU. The Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) treats hiding the commercial intent of a post as a misleading practice (Art. 7(2)). Its blacklist bans paid content not clearly identified as such (Annex I, point 11) and posing as an ordinary consumer (point 22). The Audiovisual Media Services Directive requires video ads, on TikTok, Reels and YouTube included, to be recognisable. The Digital Services Act (Art. 26(2)) requires platforms to give you a way to declare commercial content. Use it. The European Commission’s Influencer Legal Hub summarises all of this.
- Slovenia. The unfair-practice rules are in the Consumer Protection Act ZVPot-1 (in force since 26 January 2023; it replaced ZVPNPP), and the Market Inspectorate (Tržni inšpektorat RS) enforces them. The Slovenian Advertising Chamber (SOZ) and IAB Slovenija set out the practice in Priporočila k marketingu vplivnežev: affiliate links and discount codes make a post advertising. The label has to be visible before any click, be suitable for the channel and readable on a phone, and must not be hidden among hashtags or behind “more”. They recommend the plain word “oglas”. Free products count as payment.
- Your own country. If you or most of your audience are outside Slovenia, your national rules apply as well. Use labels in your audience’s language.
What counts as a disclosure
| Works | Doesn’t work |
|---|---|
| The platform’s paid-partnership label switched on | #sp, #spon, #collab, #partner on their own |
| “Ad” / “Oglas” at the very start of the caption, before the “more” cut | The label buried among 20 hashtags at the end |
| Saying it in the first seconds of a video | Only in your bio, or only in the comments |
| On screen, on every story frame that shows the link or code | Only on the first frame of a story sequence |
| In your audience’s language | Only “#ad” in an English caption for a Slovenian audience |

Instagram (feed posts and Reels)
- Tool: switch to a Professional account. Before sharing: Advanced settings → Add paid partnership label → add @fragnatium as the brand partner. We approve you as a partner on our side.
- Caption, first line:
- EN: “Ad · paid partnership with @fragnatium. Code ANA: 10% off one order, not on sets you build yourself. The link is in my bio. I earn a share of the profit when you order with my code or link.”
- Reels: say it in the first seconds as well.
- EN: “This is a paid partnership with Fragnatium.”
- SL: “To je plačano sodelovanje s Fragnatiumom.”
- Stories: the paid-partnership label, plus a text sticker reading “Ad” / “Oglas” on each frame that shows the code, the link sticker or the product.
- Gifted, no link or code:
- EN: “Gifted by @fragnatium.”
- SL: “Prejeto v dar od @fragnatium.”
Use the paid-partnership label here too.
TikTok
- Tool: before posting, open More options → Disclose post content, switch it on and choose Branded content. TikTok then shows a “Paid partnership” label.
- Caption, first words:
- EN: “#ad Paid partnership with @fragnatium · code ANA: 10% off one order, not on sets you build yourself · link in bio”
- SL: “#oglas Plačano sodelovanje z @fragnatium · koda ANA: 10 % popusta na eno naročilo, ne velja za komplete, ki si jih sestaviš sam · povezava v profilu”
- On screen, for the first 3 seconds: “Ad” / “Oglas”.
- Spoken: “Paid partnership with Fragnatium. My code ANA gives you 10% off one order. The link is in my bio.” / “Plačano sodelovanje s Fragnatiumom. Z mojo kodo ANA dobiš 10 % popusta na eno naročilo, povezava je v mojem profilu.”
- If you go live and show the link or code, say it is a paid partnership when you first show it, and again if you show it later.
YouTube (videos and Shorts)
- Tool: Details → Show more → Paid promotion → tick “My video contains paid promotion like a product placement, sponsorship or endorsement”. YouTube shows “Includes paid promotion”.
- Spoken: at the start, and again where you mention the link or code.
- Description, first lines (above the fold):
- EN: “Paid partnership with Fragnatium. The link below is an affiliate link and ANA is my code: I earn a share of the profit on orders placed with either. Code ANA: 10% off one order, not on sets you build yourself. fragnatium.com/go/ana”
- Pinned comment with the link or code? Put “Ad · ” / “Oglas · ” in front of it.
The “ana”, “ANA” and “10%” in these examples are placeholders: use your own link and code from your dashboard, and the percent you chose (section 6).
2. Show the batch code
This is the one thing we can show that a shop asking for trust usually can’t, and it makes good content.
- Film the label close up, in focus, with the fragrance name and the “Batch:” line readable.
- If you want, type the code into the batch code checker on screen and show what it says.
- Say what the code is: the batch code of the full-size bottle this decant was poured from.
What not to say about it:
- Not “this proves it’s authentic”. A code is a detail you can check, not a certificate.
- Not “the checker tells you exactly when it was made”. For a few houses it gives an estimate and labels it that way. For many it gives no date at all, and says why.
3. Product claims
| Say | Don’t say |
|---|---|
| “A decant: perfume measured from a full-size bottle into a glass spray vial.” | “Sample”, “tester”, “mini”, “travel size”, “vial from the brand” |
| “Decanted from an authentic full-size bottle.” | “Original”, as in “original Creed” or “the original product” for the decant itself; “official”; “sealed”; “brand-new bottle”; “100% guaranteed” |
| “The label shows the batch code of the bottle it came from.” | “Proves it’s real”, “certified” |
| Your own experience: “On me it lasted about six hours”, “I got two compliments” | “Lasts 12 hours”, “beast mode on everyone” stated as fact |
| “Fragnatium is an independent shop.” | “Authorised by [brand]”, “[brand]’s partner”, “official stockist” |
| Your code as it is: “Code ANA: 10% off one order, not on sets you build yourself”, with your own percent | A bigger percent than your code gives; “on everything”; “today only”, “last chance” or a countdown when the offer isn’t time-limited |
| The price you saw that day, if you mention one | “Cheapest in Europe”, “cheaper than [shop]”, “was €X, now €Y” |
| “Smells like [fragrance] to me” (an opinion) | “Clone”, “dupe”, or anything suggesting we sell copies; we only decant the real fragrance |
No health or body claims. Fragrances are cosmetics, and cosmetic claims must be truthful and supported (Regulation (EU) 655/2013). Don’t say hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin or pregnancy, pheromones, “attracts women/men”, aphrodisiac, calming, helps you sleep, relieves stress or headaches, or anything therapeutic.
Where the bottles come from. Don’t describe our sourcing (“from authorised distributors”, “straight from the boutique”). If your audience asks, send them to us and we’ll answer.
In Slovenian: say dekant, never “vzorec” or “tester”. In Croatian also dekant.
“Sample” as a verb is fine (“I sampled ten scents this month”). The rule is about what you call the product.
4. Brands and trademarks
- Name the fragrance and the house to say what is in the vial (“Creed Aventus, decanted”). That is all a brand name is for here.
- Don’t use the houses’ logos, campaign photos or videos, or ad artwork.
- Don’t imply that a house sponsors or endorses you or Fragnatium. Don’t use hashtags or handles that read as official (#CreedOfficial, @aventus.decants).
- The Fragnatium wordmark: use the files we provide, uncropped and unrecoloured. The “g” descender sits right at the edge of the file, and cropping it clips the letter. There is no Fragnatium icon or monogram; if you find one, it isn’t ours.
5. Where your link and code go
Fine: your own posts, captions, bio, story link stickers, your newsletter, your own blog, and answering a follower who asks. Your link (fragnatium.com/go/ plus your handle) is short enough to say aloud or show on screen; typed into a browser, it works the same as a tap. Your code is typed in at checkout.
Don’t promise a sale. Your code works on top of the shop’s own sales, but sales start and end without notice to you.
Not fine:
- Coupon, deal and cashback sites and extensions (Honey, Karma, Capital One Shopping, CouponFollow, RetailMeNot, Pepper/mydealz, and similar), and groups and channels for sharing codes and deals. Don’t post your link or code there.
- Comment spam under other people’s posts, or DMs to strangers.
- Paid search or ads on our name. No bidding on “Fragnatium”, its misspellings, “Fragnatium discount/code” or your code in Google, Bing or any ad network. No paid ads (including boosted posts or Spark Ads) using your link or code without our written OK.
- Ordering through your own link or with your own code. Orders from your own account, to your payout email, from a second account or from your household earn nothing. You can’t use your own code, and don’t give it to anyone to order for you. Don’t place orders to reach a tier.
- Fake traffic: incentivised clicks, cookie tricks, bought followers or views.
If your link or code turns up somewhere you didn’t put it, tell us. We may replace a code that has leaked to a coupon or deal site: the old code then stops working, and we email you the new one.
6. Your code
Every creator gets a personal discount code as well as a link. It is normally your handle in capitals (ANA). If that clashes with a code the shop already uses, we set a different one. You find both in your dashboard.
You choose the discount. In your dashboard, pick a whole percent within the range shown there (currently 5% to 15%). Until you choose, the lowest percent applies. You can change it at most once every 24 hours. We set the range, and if we change it, we tell you in advance.
You pay for the discount from your share. On an order with your code, we work out your share as if the code had not been used, then take the code’s discount off it. Your share never goes below zero: if the discount is bigger than your share, you earn €0 on that order and owe nothing. Nothing is carried over to your other orders. Orders through your link, or from a returning customer, have no discount and earn your full share.
An example, with the €37.85 order of decants from the program page, at a 25% share:
| The order | The customer saves | Your share |
|---|---|---|
| Through your link, no code | €0 | €5.08 |
| With your code at 5% | about €1.89 | about €3.20 |
| With your code at 15% | about €5.68 | €0 (the discount is bigger than the share) |
A lower percent leaves you more per order. A higher one may bring more orders. It’s your choice.
What the code does for the customer:
- Each customer can use it once.
- It works on items already on sale, and together with the shop’s own sales and campaign codes. Those discounts are ours to pay and are not taken off your share. As on any order, though, a lower price leaves less profit to work your share out on.
- It does not work on discovery sets that people build themselves (“Build your own discovery set”).
- A code comes before a link. If a customer uses your code after following another creator’s link, the order is yours, and the other way round. The customer’s later orders then count for the creator whose code they used.
Say it as it is. When you mention your code, give the real percent, say that it is for one order per customer, and say that it doesn’t work on sets people build themselves. Don’t present it as a limited-time offer (“today only”, “last chance”) unless it really is one. A post with your code is still a paid partnership: label it like any other post (section 1).
7. When a share is held or removed
Removed (voided), so you get nothing for that order:
- The order was refunded, cancelled or withdrawn. A partial refund reduces the share instead, and that includes a refunded shipping charge. On an order with your code, the discount taken off your share is worked out again on what is left.
- You placed the order yourself, through your link or with your code (see section 5).
- The order came through a post we rejected: an undisclosed post, or one that makes a claim from the “Don’t say” list. Rejecting a post stops it earning from that point. We tell you why, and you can fix the post and register it again.
- The order came from posting your link or code where section 5 says not to.
- The order turned out to be fraudulent or was charged back.
- Gift parcels we send you are €0 orders and earn nothing.
Zero, but not removed: an order that made no profit (for example a single small decant sent far away), or one where your code’s discount was bigger than your share (section 6). It still shows on your dashboard at €0.00.
Held (“Under review”):
- The share is unusually large for the order’s value. This is an automatic size check, not a judgement on you, and we release it by hand.
- The order hasn’t settled yet (a payment dispute, or an order that is neither completed nor cancelled).
- We are looking at a post, or at a link or code posted somewhere it shouldn’t be.
A held share is either released or removed, and if it is removed we tell you why.
Waiting, not held: every share waits 30 days after the order is paid before it can be paid out. A bonus for reaching a new tier, if we ever pay one, waits the same 30 days, and is removed if you drop back below that tier before then.
Refunds after you have been paid. The 30-day wait does not cover every return: a customer has 14 days after delivery to withdraw and 14 more to send the order back, so a refund can arrive after you have been paid. When it does, the share on that order comes off a later payout. If you took that payout as store credit, only the share comes off, not the 20% extra.
8. Content rights
- You own your content.
- We may reshare it on Fragnatium’s own channels (the website, Instagram, TikTok, our newsletter) with credit to you (your handle), for as long as you are in the program and 12 months after. On Instagram and TikTok we use the platforms’ own reshare and collab features where we can.
- Paid ads using your content (your face or voice in an ad we pay to run) only with your separate written OK, and possibly a fee.
- Want something taken down? Ask, and we remove it from our channels within 7 days. A newsletter that has already gone out can’t be unsent.
- Platform music usually isn’t licensed for reuse off the platform. Where we can’t reshare a post natively, we use it without the sound or ask you for a version without music.
- Only post content you have the right to use. Don’t use other creators’ videos or the houses’ campaign footage.
9. If something goes wrong
Posted without the label? Said something from the “Don’t say” column? Edit the post (Instagram lets you add the paid-partnership label afterwards; where a platform doesn’t, add “Ad” / “Oglas” to the caption or repost), then tell us at [email protected]. Fixing a mistake quickly is always fine. Repeated undisclosed posts end participation (program terms, section 12).
