Coty

Gucci batch code checker

Gucci has changed fragrance makers, so a four-digit code needs era context. We give indicative years for the observed Coty layout, while keeping an older-bottle possibility. The year-and-day structure is calibrated on longer Coty shipment lots; its transfer to four-digit Gucci bottles remains unverified. Photographed Gorgeous Jasmine codes 2258 and 3184 support the short layout. We do not infer a future maker's coding from it.

You can also enter a printed manufacture date, e.g. MFG: 01/2024. Expiry dates are not production dates.

Free, no signup. We save the submitted brand, code and result to improve this checker. Please enter only the batch code.

We do not stock Gucci. Try these decants in a similar style

Fragrances from other houses are picked because they share main accords with the best-known Gucci fragrances. They are different perfumes, not copies.

What the characters mean

Supported Coty-era bottles use four digits (3184). Dated Coty shipment records and independently photographed Gucci packaging support a cautious year reading. We report years from October 2016 through 2026, not a month or day. Older bottles can share four digits, so an earlier era remains possible unless the fragrance launch excludes it. Later years wait for further review.

Gucci batch code questions

Will Gucci batch codes change in 2027?

A change of fragrance maker can bring a different layout. This checker covers the observed Coty-era pattern through 2026 and does not automatically apply it to newer years or another maker. Check the maker named on the packaging. An unfamiliar layout alone cannot establish a bottle's age or authenticity.

I have two bottles of the same Gucci scent with different codes — is one fake?

Not for that reason. A batch code identifies a filling run, not a fragrance, so two bottles filled at different times carry different codes — one owner of two Gucci Intense Oud bottles reports 1255 and 3275. A difference between the code on a bottle and the code on its own box is the thing worth noticing.

Can a batch code prove a Gucci bottle is genuine?

No. Fakes exist and often reuse real codes, so a code can raise a flag but never clear a bottle. Box and bottle codes that disagree are a warning sign, not proof. Buying from an authorised retailer is the only check the brands themselves endorse.

Same scheme, other houses

These brands are also made by Coty. A shared maker does not guarantee a shared code layout, so each page describes the codes we have actually seen for that house.

Try a scent on your skin for a few days before you pay for a full bottle. Each decant is poured from a full-size bottle whose source we log.

Try it before you commit

Checking a batch code is usually a way of asking whether a bottle is worth the money. A decant answers that on your own skin, poured from a bottle whose source we log — no marketplace gamble, no full-bottle regret.
