Prada fragrance is made under licence within L'Oréal and carries the group's year letter in the third character. One caveat particular to Prada: the beauty licence has changed hands, so a bottle old enough to predate the move may not follow this layout at all and will simply not read. That is a feature — a code that refuses here is more likely an older Prada than a fake one.

Why does my Prada code look like an Armani code?
Because the bottles come out of the same production infrastructure. Prada, Armani and Saint Laurent fragrances are all made within L'Oréal, so their codes share a structure. That resemblance is a fact about the filler, not a decoding shortcut — the layout is still unpublished and still varies by site.
Does Luna Rossa Ocean go off quickly?
Its opening does more than its base. The Luna Rossa line is built on bright aromatic and citrus materials over an ambery foundation, and it is the top notes that flatten first. A well-stored bottle a few years old will still smell like itself, just with a less vivid first ten minutes.
Is a missing or smudged code on a Prada bottle a red flag?
Not by itself. These codes are ink-jetted onto glass and rub off with handling, particularly on bottles carried in a bag. What does matter is disagreement: if the box and the bottle both carry legible codes and they do not match, treat that seriously.
