ristretto intense cafe is the one i use to justify the whole coffee-fragrance genre to skeptics. the rose in the heart is the secret — keeps the coffee from tipping bitter or flat. it softens everything into something elegant. moderate projection, about 6 hours on me. best in autumn and winter. one spray is enough, maybe one and a half.

I’ve worn just about every coffee-leaning fragrance on the market and Ristretto holds its own. Opens with a really bitter espresso note that mellows fast — by the 20 minute mark it’s already turning into something rosier and softer than the bottle suggests. Won’t replace my Bortnikoff but for the price point it’s a solid daily driver in winter.
