Romania is reached through Hungary and is one of the longer overland legs we run, so it sits at the wider end of our estimates. Poșta Română takes the domestic leg. The leu is the local currency, so the euro total is converted by your card issuer.

How long it takes, and how we know
The first part is ours: we dispatch within 24 hours, and we measure it rather than assume it — across 18 orders, the median time from placing an order to handing it to Pošta Slovenije is 1 business day. Decants are poured to order, so that time is the pouring, labelling and packing — not a shelf.
The second part is the carrier’s: Poșta Română and Pošta Slovenije between them quote 4–7 business days for this route. That is their estimate, not our measurement — we say so rather than dressing it up, because we have not yet delivered enough parcels here to have a figure of our own worth publishing.
Once 5 parcels have been delivered here we will replace that estimate with our own measured average, whether it flatters us or not.
Both figures are business days. Weekends are not transit, and an order placed on a Saturday is poured on the Monday.
Who carries it
We hand the parcel to Pošta Slovenije, who carry it out of Slovenia and pass it to Poșta Română for the last leg inside Romania. One tracking number covers both halves: the link in your dispatch email follows it the whole way, and Poșta Română’s own tracking site will recognise the same number once the parcel enters their network.
Poșta Română runs pickup points and parcel lockers, and will normally divert a parcel to the nearest one rather than return it if nobody is home. A decant is small enough that a locker is never a problem.

The tracking has not updated for a few days. Is the parcel lost?
Almost certainly not. On the longer overland routes a parcel can sit between scan points for two or three days — typically while it crosses Hungary — and then jump several stages at once when it is received. Tracking silence is normal up to about a week; beyond that, contact us and we will open a query with Pošta Slovenije.
