Shipping to Italy
Italia
Italy is a short hop across the border but a long country, and that is the whole story of Italian delivery times: Trieste and the north-east are frequently quicker than our band suggests, while Sicily, Sardinia and Calabria sit at the far end of it. Poste Italiane collects the parcel at the border and routes it through its own hubs from there.
What it costs to ship to Italy
The same rate as every other EU destination, near or far. Distance changes how long it takes, never what it costs.

How long it takes, and how we know
The first part is ours: we dispatch within 24 hours, and we measure it rather than assume it — across 5 orders, the median time from placing an order to handing it to Pošta Slovenije is 1 business day. Decants are poured to order, so that time is the pouring, labelling and packing — not a shelf.
The second part is the carrier’s: Poste Italiane and Pošta Slovenije between them quote 3–5 business days for this route. That is their estimate, not our measurement — we say so rather than dressing it up, because we have not yet delivered enough parcels here to have a figure of our own worth publishing.
Once 5 parcels have been delivered here we will replace that estimate with our own measured average, whether it flatters us or not.
Both figures are business days. Weekends are not transit, and an order placed on a Saturday is poured on the Monday.
Who carries it
We hand the parcel to Pošta Slovenije, who carry it out of Slovenia and pass it to Poste Italiane for the last leg inside Italy. One tracking number covers both halves: the link in your dispatch email follows it the whole way, and Poste Italiane’s own tracking site will recognise the same number once the parcel enters their network.
Poste Italiane runs pickup points and parcel lockers, and will normally divert a parcel to the nearest one rather than return it if nobody is home. A decant is small enough that a locker is never a problem.
Delivery to Italy — questions
Why does the estimate cover such a wide range for Italy?
Because the domestic leg does. A parcel entering at the north-eastern border is a few hours from Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Veneto but several sorting stages away from the islands and the south. We quote the range that covers the whole country rather than a flattering national average that would be wrong for half of it.
