Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle L'Elixir opens on raspberry with a boozy liqueur edge, lifted by Calabrian bergamot. It is fruitier and darker than the 2012 original, and the raspberry reads as jammy rather than candied.
Violet leaf and rose make up the heart. The violet leaf brings a green, slightly watery note that keeps the fruit from turning syrupy, and the rose gives it a floral middle.
